Ok so we have had the golf new years resolution post and the how many rounds post but my question is what is your handicap target for this year???

What is your exact now and what is your target for the year???

Currently 5.4 and I suppose my target is to get to 4 or at least to my lowest ever (4.9). To do that I'll need to be much more consistent and turn many of the +3 and + 4 scores into buffer zones. If I'm honest though I've been 5/6/7 for a few years now and if I can stay at the bottom end of that range I'm happy.

Currently 26.1, aiming for 20 or lower.

Consistency over 18 holes is my problem, can play the front nine in 7 over par 41 and then lose it shooting 60 on the back. If I can string it together over the full 18, can shave a lot of the handicap.

Sounds familiar ... the mantra of the high handicap If I can be consistant over the whole 18

I'm 20.1 at the moment, came down from 24 at the start of last season.

Based on the numbers I've been shooting over the past couple of months I think getting down to 15 is a reasonable target.

I just need to put the rounds together during comps which I started to do at the end of the season last year.

Currently 9.4 would be happy with 8 even at the end of the year, the way the handicap went last year from 10.5 to 9.4 was a lot of +.1's then a few good rounds this year want to keep in the buffer zone more.

Finally achieved Single figures last year, before ending up @9.5

Realistic target would be 8 for next season end, but I feel a smidge lower 'could' be achievable.

Here's hoping.

My current handicap is 5.4 but I was down to 4 at one point last season so my aim is to try and get back to that in 2010. Lot of short game practice required me thinks.
