Can someone please explain how my handicap has increased 0.3 today without playing in a comp since early December and in that comp I hit the buffer with a net 1 over.

Speak to your club - there might have been some errors during the year that they have spotted during a clear up

Find it odd as a similar occurrence happened in March last year on that occasion I increased 0.2. I find it odd as weird value to increase by.

Perhaps the handicap secretary at your club just doesn't like you for some reason.

Most logical explanation would be some overdue cards being processed maybe while doing the annual review?

mine has also increased by 0.3 according to the new software- haven't mentioned it yet as I haven't been playing but it's worth an enquiring email to the match and handicap secretary
Only the handicap secretary can give you a definitive answer. Sounds like a late comp or away cards being processed as part of the annual review

Can't be the AR I don't think as I believe that has to be half or full shot, can't remember which.
Anyhow, if memory serves me right, didn't you and a few others have a similar issue of small unexplained h'cap changes a couple of years ago? Did you ever get an answer? Maybe that could shed some light on the OP?
