I'm thinking of joining a local club which has a half way house. The course is really nice but I have my doubts about stopping for refreshment half way round. Do you guys have any thoughts on it?
Hi, Eastwood,In Renfrewshire, but it's only about 15 mins. from where I live. What course are you hoping to join Ian? Cant think of many Ayrshire courses apart from Turnberry that has this facility???
But on a Medal Day, I dont like stopping if I have a good card going, it breaks the rhythm and concentration.
Organised quite a big charity golf day at a course in Bromley a couple of months ago. There is a halfway house after the 9th green.
After a 10 min stop there for a bacon/sausage/cheese sarnie and cup of tea in the company of the lovely Jackie, there were very few good drives on the 10th. People were complaining that they had stiffened up a bit during the break![]()
