Had an Osama today

A real Osama - we knew where it was but could we find the bloody thing?
Ok my drive went right - I havn't used it for a month what do you want?
In the rough that had been lain flat by the snow. Impossible to lose a ball in it. Possible, however, if you're me.
CVG and Fragger helped look and began churning up more than a dozen balls. ProV's, Cally X's - all worth keeping. What did I find? TopFlites, Dunlops and Donnays!

And not my ball. The ground must have just opened up and swallowed it.
Now I don't mind losing a ball if I've hit it in the real clag but this rough was like the grass in your back garden.
Mystifying..................

Found a ball once right down the middle of the fairway on our 4th. It was lying in the tightest of holes dug out by something that dig holes. It wasnt a new hole but had started to repair itself and I only noticed it cos I was looking at my shoes for some reason and nearly walked on top of it.

Now the person who hit that drive must have thought his ball had vanished into thin air. I even called my partners over to witness it and we all had a chuckle at the poor guys expense

One of the balls I found was a Titleist inscribed "Fathers Day 2009. Lucky Fathers Day Ball"

Obviously given by a kid to their dad last year.

Wasn't very lucky for him was it as he lost it

Bit sad really.

But going back to Imurgs magic lost ball, I reckon that it went through a hole in the space/time continuum and somewhere there is a planet devoted to golf ball like lifeforms, where it is living happily, sipping Martini and falling down holes.

I've been that person - I really hate losing a ball that you <u>know</u> landed on the fairway, damn things can hide behind a single blade of grass!
