Got to the club this morning and the GM said, out of the blue, do you fancy 2 nights at Loch Lomond a week on Monday - expenses paid apart from travel!!!!!! After the shock, and thinking that I am not travelling for work, I said - OK - as long as the boss at work is OK. He said he would check with the organiser and let me know later - just got a text and the place has now been offered to someone else - so waiting on the slim chance that it is not accepted. I am sad now!!!! :(

That is bad! Real Bad! But, hey you never know the offer may still be open even if it is not this year!

If they were prepared to do it then I'm sure there will be other opportunities!

And if you were asked again and you knew the boss wouldn't let you go, I am more than happy to stand in… :D :D ;)

Hope you get the chance though, well worth the trip!

I don't know - haven't heard anymore so I guess it is history! All I know is that is was a week on Tuesday

On a beter note, Rob got more than 26 today

It's on again!! Next Tuesday, just found out. Got to work out whether to drive or fly next Monday - looking at the prices it will be best part of £300 to go when I want so I think I will drive. Berks to Loch Lomond - avoiding rush hour - I am hoping 6-7 hours. I will try and remember the camera!;) :)

Jammy Git!!
Hope you enjoy it Paul.
But flying will work out cheaper than driving when you take the cost of fuel into account won't it?
Plus you haven't got the agro drive

Cheers Rob
I reckon £100 of diesel, so should be a lot cheaper driving. Might even head to Shrewsbury on the Sunday and stay with mates to brake up the trip. I haven't looked at BA miles yet and not even sure how I spend them - probably got enough for a trip but I heard from someone that you can only use them on certain flights

I'd drive for sure otherwise you'll have to walk to the course from the airport! They don't have taxis in Scotland and buses are full of Scottish people! Ewwwwwwww!

now flying! Couldn't get ideal ones, especially back - the others are on a 9am flight back on Wednesday - I am on a 12.30!! I will have time to get acquainted with the delights of Glasgee airport for a few hours! And I will be hanging around for near 2 hours on Monday afternoon until the others get in - but transfers are sorted.
