Hi all
Today while out practicing with a friend the head of my driver decided to detach itself from the shaft.
I am gutted as it was my favorite and most consistant club.
Tomorrow I have a game with hubby, the father and brother in law and will have to make do with my hybrid, which is all over teh place at the moment.
I am going to ring the insurance people on Mon to see about getting it replaced but know it will never be the same.

yes and it had snapped straight through the shaft
My driver has now been discontinued, so no new for old, hopefully the insurance will just send me a cheque so I can go out and get a new one myself. I don't particularly want to get it reshafted as I've heard the club is never the same again.

What make and model is it?

It's a Ladies Yonex Cyberstar C280FL, 12 degree loft.

I had a problem with my Ping G2 driver and it was 4 years old. The face had a crack in it. I phoned them, sent them it back and they sent me a new G5
If I were you, I'd call Yonex on Monday morning

Thanks Bob, will give that a try you never know.
I like Yonex their clubs have a great feel to them so would like to stick with them but on the other hand I like the look of the ladies taylormade burner aswell.
we'll see what Monday brings.

No good when that happens. Just remember its the swing and not the club and trust yourself with the hybrid. I hope you can get something sorted asap
