guitar fans

Is anyone allowed to play it, touch it or even point at it?;)

Nice looking instrument even if it has an a awful lot of tone switches? Used to love them (guitars), owned a fair few over the years but finally realised I'm wasting my time, just don't have enough musicality I'm afraid, currently guitarless.:p

Seem to be better suited to bass with my chubby fingers and good sense of time.

Do you gig that thing?

of course, well except Rupert.

Only got it today. sold the 66 a few months ago got 3 times what i paid for it, it was the same as the one John Squire used in the 80#s with the Supertron neck pick up. seems there is real interest in that model at the moment.

few gigs i've played in the last year or so used my Jap Jaguar, though back in the day i did use one, back then they could be bought 2nd hand for few hundred quid, but back then you could get all sorts for bugger all

Lad I work with would love that, he's a big Gretsch fan.
He has a Gretsch signed by Chet Atkins in his loft, was offered a silly amount of money for it a few years ago but told them to bugger off :D

I was looking at a very similar white one today ,a Gretch in Rimmers.
It was stunning and I asked myself are you good enough for one of them?
Didnt like my answer so sticking to my Tanglewood.

Nice. Can find some Gretsch guitars a little fussy but that looks great. Always a good tone and love em' through a Hotrod DL.

Whats a hot rod DL?

i think Gretsch have made a real effort to make something for everyone. They now have the professional series and the historic. The newer Prof offers the same body without the tone switches and the little other idiosyncrasies gigging musicians don't like.

personally i love those and would love one of the Stereo White falcons with about 10 switches on.

probably why i like Jazmasters/ Jaguars and Vox Phantom organ guitars;)

Agreed, they've a good offering.

Oh, a Fender Hotrod Deluxe. Amp tone for days :)

Tremendous! A twin could take the windows out 😁

I have been looking for one for a while now.

Tried very hard to get hold of an Ibanez EW50 but they are as rare as rocking horse poo.

They are stunning

The Tanglewood is also high gloss and similar grain.

Ooh, that's really nice too. Superb finish - some acoustics can look a bit tatty with a high gloss finish (I had a tobacco burst Ibanez slimline acoustic years ago that sounded great but looked like a dogs breakfast) but that wood and style wears it really well. That's classy.
