So true for many low h/cappers.... miss 3 putts across the lip and that's your h/cap buggered, add in a bad lie somewhere in the round and a chip that comes up short and you're staring .1 in the face. This is why 75-80% of practice should be on short game at the low end of the h/cap spectrum.

Goes back to the pressure of a low handicap thread. If one aspect of the game is right off, especially from 100 yards in, you right royally screwed...!

See the driver behaved itself by your FIR, but were you hitting longer irons in that may affect your GIR? (taking your post about the G20 hitting shorter than you expected?)

That's what makes this game such a quality thing! You see, you hit pretty much every fairway but couldn't hit the green. As a result, your scrambling was brilliant. The next time you play, you'll probably find that your irons are laser-like but your putting's gone! :whoo:

My iron play was brilliant on Sunday - I'll bet £10 that on this Sunday I don't hit one green in regulation! :mmm:

Plus, you're playing Callaway irons! Surely, it's time for a change to a decent iron? The new Wilson Staff FG irons are out........ :smirk:

Wouldn't make a difference, we still wouldn't make a 2.

I said least time that it's going to be won with an approach form 150 yards or something stupid like that - or we all shoot a 2 and get our money back.
