The medical title thing is really damaging. Give the wrong person a medical title for their behaviour (especially within mental health) and they'll abuse that fact any way they can. Seen it on a professional level and it is one thing that makes me question my job more than any other at times.

One thing that gets to me is the fact we still have a paper license. Also the police check system! My wife to be had 3 police checks done within 2 weeks for a few different as and when required jobs she was doing. They each needed to carry out a check and the process is far to slow and inefficient.

I have a similar thing with kids putting their feet up in cinemas. No idea why they do it, it certainly is not comfortable, but they slouch down in their seat with their legs over the row in front and their feet on the seat.

Wor lass is always telling me I'm grumpy.

I'm grumpy when it comes to my daughters boyfriends, the last one, now ex boyfriend passed his driving test, but wanted my daughter to pay him his petrol money for him to drive to our house for her to see him :eek:

I started reading this thread thinking I'm not a grumpy old man, I don't think like that... And then I read a few more and thought yes I've got that T-shirt. And then I translated that into, its because I care about the direction society is going.

anyway, sssshhh I'm watching the telly.
 
I came to the conclusion quite a few years ago that kids are much better behaved and mannered than when I was a teenager in the 1960's.

Drug taking

Fixed that for you.

We all get less tolerant of different things as we get older, IMO that doesn't make us grumpy just means we grew up and see the things we did when we were younger as something we'd not tolerate now from our own kids.

The difference then was that just about everyone had a work ethic, if you didn't work you got nothing. Gordon and Tony worked hard to create this dependency culture that has ruined peoples motivation and created an attitude that their livelihoods is the States responsibility.

Give me back the sixties.
