Grumpy Old Men and Women?

There's plenty of us on here, more the former than the latter, so what one thing really to you?

For me it's the current trend of lads wearing trousers half way down the butt, showing their pants off to all and their crotch down near their knees. It started a long time ago with the waist band showing, but it just gets worse and worse. Now I don't consider myself that old (42), but it REALLY winds me up.

What winds you up? And you're not allowed to say poor spelling/grammar, or people who pick you up on it!

Inconsideration for others on the road.
I'm on the road most of the time and probably 3 or 4 times an hour I see people just pushing in, cutting corners, getting in wrong lanes, not acknowledging when you've let them through, tailgating at the speed limit, not signalling - I could go on all night.

It's mainly caused by arrogance, ignorance , impatience or a combination of all three.....and is so unnecessary.

I hate chav speak & this gang speak

talk properly and I will talk back to you the same, speak like a git and you will be treat accordingly! I watched a programme about lads looking for work and this 18 year old white lad spoke horrendously, all gangsta like grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I cannot stand this new thing for youngsters putting their feet up on bus seats......you are not at home and other people have to sit on those seats when you have finished wiping mud all over them.

Reality TV shows and even worse "celebrity" reality shows.

Full of idiot wannabes and hasbeens or usually never wasbeens.....

Thats what really rips my knitting

so true blood

I try to stick by the old "I wont be like that when I get older" so even if I dont like fashions, cest la vie. I do hate bad vocabulary though.

We were doing a survey on a golf course and spoke to this elderly golfer who said the worse thing about the course was schoolkids taking a short cut across the first fairway, they show no respect whatsoever.
He started babbling on about his youth and that he was brought up on such and such road.
How did you get to school I asked.
Oh we just used to cut across the first fairway he said. [before he could stop himself.]

When our teenage daughter went out one night in a new short skirt my wife was not too pleased.
Next day I rummaged through our old photos and presented her one of her mum in an even shorter one.

We all turn into grumpy old folk.

Nothing new about that.......I was doing it years ago.

Interestingly, this 'trend' was started by American prisoners to show there erm.... how do i put this.... availability!!

The excuses and "medical titles" for being fat, rude, badly behaved, committing crime etc etc. Life doesn't come with any guarantees and can be hard work so get on with it.
