hello all.

Anyone on here played Great Barr Golf Club in the West Midlands??

I have my first golf day of the year on Friday and have never played it. I've looked at google earth and it looks a bit tight , and with a mixture on hitting low pulls with my 3 woods recently and playing with my boss means I'm a bit nervous as I can't get to the range beforehand and haven't step foot on a golf course in 6 weeks for various reasons.

Hi mate, I live half a mile from there and if it weren't for them being stuck up cave men they would of picked up 2000 squid for mine and my mates membership.

Anyway... The course!

It was a nice course I can't deny but not too exciting with pretty much no water... It wasn't really too tight and if you slice a little you should still be safe.

If you are looking to get a lil bit of practise in then head to Queslett Park about 1 mile from the course as they have a AG and double decker bay range... There is also a 9 hole par 3 if you have time.

Thanks for the reply. Great to see there is room out right, but as my stock bad shot is a hook, i'm now rather nervous!!! lol

I've played calderfields a few times and improves every time i play it. The first is one of the tightest 1st around!!

How are you getting along at Calderfields? I'm a member there and really enjoying it. Have you been playing many comps? Midweeks today and tomorrow, lovely weather for it!

For the rest, I'm new to the forum after spending a few weeks reading and enjoying the wide range (i.e. random!) conversations that go on. Look forward to contributing to it.
