I can drive the ball 340yards with a Dunlop Driver.
I would never try to measure distance with a chipper or hit a chip with my GPS...
Is that not what a versus statement is getting at?
Wasn't being pedantic Slab, the comparison is apples and oranges. Two bits of kit for totally different purposes.
Apologies if that came across as pedantic that was not the intention.
No need for apology, was just forum banter in my eyes. The 'V' was simply the headline grabing forum title
Could never been annoyed with a fellow Fifer anyway when there's so many English to take it out on![]()

You a feefer Slab? whauraboots?
I don't get this whole belly/broom putter debate. What is everyone's problem? The argument seems to revolve around the point that they give the user an advantage.
Fine, if that is what you think, go out and buy one!! Personally, I've tried the things on putting greens, absolutely awful contraptions and IMHO, hats off to anyone that can actually use one. I'll be sticking to my conventional flatstick thank you very much.
Spent most of my life in and around Dunfermline until 4 months ago when I needed to move for work. Warmer weather & longer hours now although its the same penalty whether I lose a ball in the Firth of Forth or spank one into the Indian Ocean![]()

Another one here - born and brought up in Kelty, went to the old Beath High.
As a complete aside, I came across "kelty" in the Collins scrabble dictionary:
kelty - "old Scots word for an extra drink imposed on someone not thought to be drinking enough"
I can truthfully state it has never been imposed on me.
That would be the old, old Beath
