GPS & club comps

am I right in thinking GPS can be used in club comps but only if a local rule has been introduced?

yes you are right, my club has just put the notice up to say they are allowed.

I am going in search of the local rule this weekend. and no i havent just been beaten by somebody using one, so it not a case of sour grapes.

Homer are you serious about the trollies needing a local rule to be used in comps?

Think Homer means trollies and buggies with distance measuring devices etc

GB72 is correct - as is Homer of course. Trolleys like the Motocaddy S3 digital have measuring devices on which should be switched off during competitive play.

I've yet to hear about a club that is allowing distance measuring devices other than the yardage charts most clubs provide. Of course if anyone knows of any clubs allowing GPS & other meassuring devices I'd be interested to know about them.
