Got the VIBE!!!

I've got one in one of my Scotties. Does make a difference and gives better feedback on nearly all putts but the version I got weights the putter up a lot. I like the extra weight but some might not. Think he has lighter versions out now from when I got mine.
Interesting device and does help a little bit but the extra weight would help most people on its own.

I have one in my Scotty and it makes it feel slightly heavier it doesnt need to be hit any harder or softer, have found with mine i have vastly improved distance control and greatly reduced the number of 3 putts.
My pro has been using the actual putters they make and loves it, i was lucky that our club captain is the agent for them here and gave a few to us for free to test out before he committed to them, only found out looking at the site how much they retail for, which may put some people off.

GOT the Vibe? ..... GOT too much money methinks.

Have to agree.
It makes the sweet spot bigger?
It improves your putting by 5 putts per round?
If as it claims to help with off centre hits by dampening the vibrations, why not just stop hitting it from off centre in the first place.
He's trying to fix a result of a fault and not the fault itself.

Wear a second glove on your left hand if you want to dampen vibrations, hey in fact, it will make the metal sweetspot larger too. I could sell it as "the Two Glove Technique". Rather than use some plumbing tat, just buy one of my patented (read: overbadged footjoy) gloves for £59.99.

Dave Hicks is a friend of mine so I can pass on any feedback.

I have tried the Vibe myself and I like it. Makes the impact of ball on bat feel nice and solid.

For those who are critical, have you tried it? If not, how can your opinion be valid? Sure, you can say it is expensive but that isn't quite the point. No-one is forced to buy one. The point is, does it benefit your putting? I would say probably yes, having tried it.

Then again, I am biased as Dave is a very nice bloke!

He's having a laugh isn't he? up to 5 putts a round less..?
How is dampening the vibrations going to increase the size of the sweet spot? How hard do people swing their putter? How far off centre do people really hit it..?
The Sweet Spot is the size of a pinhead - dampening the vibrations isn't going to increase that or stop the head twisting.
If my putting was bad enough to need one of these I think even I would bite the bullet and get a putting lesson instead.

Oh and I want some more accurancy!!

OK Ill go first then.
How can a putter gadget save you 5 shots per round? I usually have around 31-32 putter per round so does that mean I will be down into tour professional territory? If my alignment is bad, this isnt going to help.

Enlarges the sweetspot, im no club builder but was always led to believe that the sweetspot was determined during design and manufacture, not by adding a plumb bob into the shaft afterwards. If my stroke is bad, this isnt going to help.

Finally, £50 just to buy the tool to fit it, a lot of guys stick with the same putter for years so I dont see how this along with the actual cost will make it any sort of value for money. Will it fix the yips, pulls, pushes etc?

Good luck to the guy as he does seem to have forked out a fair bit for R&D. website etc. I just dont think it is a goer.

I am not about to mount a spirited defence of the marketing used to promote this product. it is nothing to do with me and I share some of your skepticism.

All I am saying is that I have actually used this product and can see that it is beneficial. My opinion is based on having actually tried it so my opinion has some validity. Similarly, I have had a go with Bob's divining rods and can see that they are beneficial too.

Don't knock it until you have tried it would be my main point.

In all fairness, it states "up to 5 putts per round".. Now if you are an absolutely shocking putter, then that would probably be feasible.. Would I buy one, probably not. I don't believe in using more kit to overcome a fault. I believe in fixing the fault. Does it work? I don't know, so I won't critisise it...

Having tried it myself and owning one also I can only back this up.
It does make a difference and it does seem to increase the sweet spot, feeling is believing.

5 putts per round? who knows. Not for me but It does make the user feel confident and the extra weight should help make a more positive stroke.

Swinger, did you have this at The Grove? Artifical aids, going round twice, being in disguise as a golfer. Some people will do anything to win.

I think you owe someone the prize.

I had the Vibe at The Grove but nobody would have had a clue had they seen me putting on course. As for going around twice I just assumed that everyone else had while they were waiting for Neil Tappin and Aztecs to find their balls on the 1st.

Not sure I can track down the whole prize at present. Can we cut a deal?
