Got my dream shoes

read that 3 times- still no wiser:confused: you're not related to Bomber are you cause Bomber don't like that he don't;)

I agree about a good pair of shoes and watch, however, I have lots of dreams, none involve shoes:rolleyes:

what price were the Chester brogues reduced to (needing new brogues myself)

CMAC
i was in Derby yesterday and they had a sale on some of there Loakes with the leather soled Chester Brouges at just under £200. They had another similar Loakes brouge with a thinner sole goin for £140ish. Not sure of sizes.

Got a pair of Church brogues. Took ages and lots of blister plasters to break in but what a lovely pair of shoes now. Keep them very much for "best" (interviews, weddings etc) or on rare occasions I get done up to the nines

It's official, I am paralysed from the ankle/ outer calf down for the next 3 months.

Wore my loakes Dovedale boots on Saturday for the first time for a nice gentle walk around Newark.

I looked stunning for about 200 yd that's when then blister started, after 400 yd the blister burst. After 600 yd it started bleeding, after 800 yd I think my fibula fractured. I cannot remeber at what point I started crying.

Missis Tash said I ruined her day out, she is in for a serious slapping when I catch her, which will probably be about July. The amount of times I have been into a chemist To buy plasters when she has bought crap shoes and I have never said a word.

ave spoken to the shop in Chesterfield where I bought them from and they said they will "lube" them for me and beat the crap out of the leather.

apologies to anyone who saw me on Saturday in Newark and thought I had shat me pants. honest it was me shoes.

I was looking at some Loakes, got Barbours instead which whilst we're making all the right noises for long term durability the glues started to come away from the sole - funny as I've got a pair of their trainer/pump things and the badge has come unstuck :mmm:
