Google Earth problems

Does anyone have a clue please?
I recently emptied my Laptop which was fine and I'm now replacing all the suff I use on a regular basis.
I'm only having trouble with Google Earth.
I have tried different versions and from different places but get the same problem so I'm guessing I need something on my laptop.

Here's what I get at the moment...



It's ok at street level but was wondering if anyone out there knows if I'm missing something?

Bob, do you need to use Google Earth? Can you not get the same info on google maps?
