Good game, good game?

The Golf Monthly team at Augusta were looking back at a fantastic Saturday at Augusta last night. This is Bill Elliott's 31st consecutive Masters and he felt that it was the best Masters Saturday he had ever seen. Following Westwood and Poulter was incredible and hearing the roars from Mickelson's group added to an amazing atmosphere. It got me wondering about how the day came across watching it at home, as it is easy to get carried away being amongst the action. Did it feel like one of the best ever Masters third rounds and how did the atmosphere come across?

I've watched regularly since 1986 and it was as good a Saturday as I can remember yesterday, for a while anyway.
Crowds looked really big.
Masters has refound it's magic again!
Would prefer it to be more bunched at the top however, 67 is the best of the week I think and as I cant see both Lee and Phil going worse than level 72 that would discount anyone except possibly Tiger challenging for the green jacket.

It was going pretty well from an English armchair fans perspective until Phil did what he did. I think Westwood did well to retain his composure and focus on his own needs. The crowds seemed bigger than recent years although there were some "get in the hole idiots". Good to see a few of the bushes beginning to open for the climax too

To be honest to me it seemed to be a short period of extreme exitement maybe 2 hours but great to watch,it also seems that the atmospere is electric but only when the extra ordinary happens.Im watching amen corner on the red button and have been every day and to say its dull is an understatement,the commentaters are lifeless.

Any time a European is at the top of the leaderboard it is exciting for me but an Englishman - perfect. The excitment from the golf was very shortlived as there were a few eagles. The crowd was obviously up for Mickelson but not quite so much for Westwood - not surprising really.

I watch it on the good old BBC and enjoying it immensely.

British commentators speaking sense. Peter Alliss cracks me up with his dry comments. Just seen Lee get off to a stuttering start on the 1st. Come on Lee, we're rooting for you!
