I've just downloaded this app, not cheap, but seriously nice app.

I've updated my last four rounds, and it's given me a lovely statistics to show me where to improve my game to get a better score.

Additionally I downloaded golf plan, which links into the golfshot programme and gives you loads of drills to do over a week to get you improving those bad areas. It doesn't beat a pro, but a nice supplement I think, time will tell if I use it though!

Anybody else have these apps, and if so is it as good as it feels?

Cheers

I use both too, although I only use the free version of golfshot to record scores and stats. I find the stats interesting and like to look back on the graphs history to see where I have improved or declined. I've got the golfplan but never put any of the drills into action, maybe why I've not improved much recently!!

Someone in here mentioned the Swing by Swing free app, can't remember if the scorecard option is part of the free app, as I purchased the club tracker as an addtional download, which also gives load of stats based on your input from each round.

SBS is a really good app for the iPhone.

Might give the free Golfshot a go as mentioned above.

Gotta say I've spent this afternoon farting about with this and I love it, I love the fact I can input the scores on the iPhone and then view them on my ipad. I'm also loving the fact that once the course is loaded I don't need an Internet connection to be able to view the aerial photos on the phone.

Very handy when your using a uk iPhone in Canada the Internet connection (data roaming) is scary money!!

Well I used golfshot on the course today using my iPhone, WOW so blinking easy, I thought I'd use it once or twice and then just stick to adding my score instead of actually using the gps.....

Wrong.....it's blinking brilliant, it made my club selection dead easy, now I know my local course is pretty small, but still I chose clubs based on my known yardage and played for the green centre.

So if I knew that the green back edge was 165 yards, I knew that I could hit a 7 iron hard and know I'd end up around middle or slightly further......

Just made my game easier all round, and also great for double checking yardages for clubs I struck, I now know that I hit a 7 iron between 143 to 155 yards depending on how well I strike the ball......

All in totally love the app..

Ps als

I try to use markers but have found them to be slightly out, golfshot is pretty bloody good tbh, shame I cant use it in comps but then again my judgement aint too bad so lucky I guess.

Love the stats and it really does highlight the flaws in my game overall

driving, approaches, chipping and putting... wait thats all shots... :(
