Golfcare - anyone ever claimed??

I cannot find my Bushnell Tour v2 anywhere and think I must have lost it during my last round.

I have checked with my Golfcare cover and I can claim for loss, I just wondered if anyone had any experience of claiming through them and any pitfalls they try and push you into.

I do not know exactly wher it was lost but can only think that on a recent game we had a buggy so I was unclipping it from the bag and then it must have fallen out during the round. I have checked with the club and one has not been handed in.

Anyone got any experiences with them?

Sorry to hear of your loss , I am with Golfcare never claimed but my renewal comes up at the end of March so would be interested in how you get on with them.
 
Never claimed but my time with them ended when they sent a renewal letter asking me to pay £44 for insurance that they had on their website for £26.50. Bit cheeky i thought

£26.50 was the hook to get you to buy from them 1st time round. Your renewal will be at a greater price ;)

Like all insurance you're better shopping around when its time to renew.

I can't help with the original question about claiming though. Sorry.
 
I think you will be okay to claim if youhavee proof of purchase AND added the item to your policy schedule.

I am insured but I can't claim for loss of clubs because I have no receipt and I still haven't sent a letter from a PGA pro as evidence of my purchase. Insurance is a rigth carry on sometimes
 
i have the debit card receipt as i bought it at the Golf Show, but i can get a proper receipt if needed.

Im just concerend that as we havent been playing for a week or 2 i cant pinpoint exactly when it was lost. i think I know as i cant remember seeing it since then, but who knows, it could have been nicked??

ill give them a call today and see what they say...

They won't know where it was lost either Scott so won't be able to challenge that part of the claim, so long as you don't say that you're not sure

I had the same renewal quote and after talking to them they would not drop the price but would make the cover for 15 months and extra vouchers. I accepted last year but will see how Scottjd1 gets on with his claim before another renewal.
 
Just to conclude this thread and give you guys a bit of feedback, i submitted the claim last week, sent in the completed form and receipt. Today they have confirmed I am covered and will issue a like for like replacement via Direct Golf, I just have to ppay £50 excess.

All in all pretty pleased with outcome, expensive lesson to learn to look after your kit. GCare get a :thup: from me, Iwill be staying with them for the forseeable future.....
