Golf Things That Gladden The Heart

I see your 12 and raise it to 14.
Since 2014 I've put all my scores into a spreadsheet so I can tell you that my 14 came on the seventh hole at Welton Manor GC on 13th Aug 2016. Beyond that, I have no recollection. I have clearly blocked it from my memory. Probably for good reason.
I've got to ask, why keep going? Shear doggedness, 'this hole will not beat me?'

Got a mate who's just joined my club. While I had a terrible time in the medal, his very first comp and he's taken the Div 1 prize :)

Had a 15 at a par 5 in my first medal comp at Sherfield Oaks - big slice off the tee into vegetation not to be found, topped provisional into ditch in front of tee which we couldn't find, sliced provisional/provisional into same vegetation. Eventually finished. Actually got handicap cut from round, as the other 17 holes were played under handicap.
Sometimes (as someone has said), all reasoning goes out of your mind when the red mist descends

Hold my beer. I'm in my 30th year of tracking stats and can see my one and only 10. But I do know I am 14 away from 7,000 par-breakers (birdies, eagles and one albatross). I will go and get a life when I reach the milestone.

7,000 isn't a milestone, 10,000 is.

Going on your current rate it should only take you another 12 or 13 years. ;)

Crikey, that is impressive! I would need about 200 years to get to that number, and not only because I don't play enough golf!

3 hours to go until my shift ends. 4 balls lost total on this hole. 2 were awful strikes the other 2 just couldn't find in the gorse

Surprising amount of pros in or around the gorse tho. Is windy mind

A group are all on fairway so nice break lol

Finch due through about when I finish so will follow him back to half way before going home

And thus ends the day for me. Going to follow Pete Finch back for the last 2 of his front 9 before going home

5 balls lost total on my hole which wasn't bad out of the 30 odd I had to look for lol

Some great golf and some average golf out there

Nice to see my trolly being used lol one the pros rented it off me for the week

Playing Moray Old on Friday and the weather looks good 😀
Let’s hope the rotator cuff plays ball 😬
Good luck on the 18th if it's into wind, don't think I've played a harder finishing hole! Great course though 👍
