End of Season Academy Comp. Played 9 holes Greensomes with an Academy Member - our 21pts won it. I played very average but my 5hybrid worked pretty well the times I used it.
And I really enjoyed playing with a lady academy member (academy/v forward tees HC 37; ladies back comp tee she is HC 50
).
I generally find playing with lady 'academy/newbies/learners' easier than playing with Academy blokes - the blokes often are more inclined to want to play the shots that they think they should be able to take on and play - ignoring my advice - when I know that they are unlikely to succeed - and in any alternative shot format course management is crucial. I'll add, I'll always let a newbie bloke play the shot he wants to play even if it against my advice (as if I could stop him) - and I'll never complain. I might give him a gentle 'well I did say...' look if and when it goes wrong

Every year I play in my good friends charity golf day in memory of his dad
Just got the details through from his brother for this year's .. im already off that day and wife knows the score it's not even check to see if she doesn't mind it's an auto yes for that day she knows how much it means to him.

Just a few holes late yesterday afternoon in the warm sunshine - all by myself and as I looked around hardly anyone on the course. Lovely - at last.
Our head greenie was hand-watering new turf and had switched on some of our tee watering - we haven't had any rain of any amount for 15days - and none forecast for this week. That after the rain we've had those last 6 months. Course and new works coming along nicely.
