Golf swing analysers

It can only give you ball speed by guessing a smash factor. It has absolutely no idea if you middled a shot or shanked it.
Still a good bit of kit though.

I've used the 3Bays and SkyPro, and rate the SkyPro as a better bit of kit. Only my opinion though. :)

My only assumption is that it asks you to set the club for 2 seconds and uses this as it's base position, it then calculates the bit you have had my your or proximity the this position as you strike the ball. I have no technical background though so could be completely wrong. But been as it's been proven to be pretty accurate, with in a yard or do to trackman. It must have some idea and not just be plucking numbers from the sky.....

I'm definitely thinking about the SkyPro, little Xmas present to myself. I like the way it presents graphics at certain points in the backswing.

the more I use the skypro, the more impressed with it I am, though I have nothing to compare it with.

nice to be able to view sessions on the online dashboard (at work!!)

its certainly not a purchase I regret, though you have to accept that some of the data, clubhead speed for example, are calculations from a formula rather than absolute gospel truth

I've got Swingbyte 2 which can be very useful. I would argue it is aimed at teachers as much as punters as it does give you a lot of stats so you need to understand them and before you can think about changing. But I would say that if you use it in conjunction with a local pro then it can be very beneficial in seeing why things are happening.

For instance at one lesson my pro noted I was closing the face in my down swing. So everytime I practice now I can use swingbyte and it gives me a 3D model of my swing, so I can see if my club face is closed or not. You can also use video to see it as well so you can see your video swing and a 3D model of it at the same time.

And yes I fully appreciate that it is not a replacement for pro lessons or it will not suddenly transform your game. But it can be very useful in showing you what is happening in your swing. But be careful if you are an android user as it is better for ipads.

I bought it for the same reason but the face angle was horribly inconsistent so I returned it. In hindsight, the other features were still good enough to justify the cost.
