Golf Monthly Top 100

They have push the envelope on pricing over the last few years and now are way out of most peoples buget. Even those who can afford, do not, and will not pay the prices they are charging.

How do you work this out? Obviously people are paying the painfully high prices, which is why clubs keep increasing them every year.

To be fair the Addington has rocketed up the list in recent years as a result of all the work they've done. 5 years ago when I played there it was much lower in the rankings, and it was overgrown and scruffy. I'd like to go back and see what all the fuss is about. Have you played the course recently?

So I went back and played the Addington a couple of weeks ago. Wow. The renovation work is incredible, and there’s still more to do.

I loved it. The thing I enjoyed most was probably that it is hard to lose your golf ball. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. It’s a long and difficult course which has some very demanding shots.

I played Burnham and Berrow the week before and I found the Addington to be much more fun. B&B was so narrow, it’s a brilliant course but losing balls in the rough is not fun.
