I’ve been playing a year and struggling to break 100 regularly at my home course.

After playing a few away days and comfortably beating 100 including The Brabazon (off the championship tees) and also the JCB. Going sub 90.

I started to think maybe my home course is quite hard and discovered this gem in the clubhouse from none other than the last British Masters Champion in 2016, Mr.Danny Willett. Which I later found out went from a 22Hcp to +1 at my course (so that means there’s hope for me yet ;) haha) Knowing that the course record from such a prestigious champ is only -5 (including a double bogey) made me feel a lot better about my own game.

Does your local course/area have any claims to fame? I love a good golf story

My course held a European tour event every year from 1971 to 1991 and is famous for Bernard Langer climbing a tree to play a shot. Winners of the event include Greg Norman, Sandy Lyle, Mark James, Lee Trevino, Sam Torrance and Tony Jacklin. No prizes for guessing the course!
