golf insurance

I have taken out insurance for two reasons. Firstly to protect myself in case of hitting someone or someones property and secondly to cover me for theft. Fortunately not had to claim or pay out yet

I used to take out my own golf insurance on an annual basis, but my club now has a block policy with one of the providers. This covers all members of the club, and the block policy allows the club to obtain a major discount, as opposed to say 400 golfers paying the full whack. It also covers members while they are playing at away courses. Suggest that you guys mention it to your club Secretary.

I've just taken a policy out a couple of days ago, thinking along the lines of Homer, firstly in case I clack someone and secondly in case all my stuff gets nicked.

I used mine and they were absolutely brilliant. I had the top package which covered me for around £5k worth of items. They let me send in pictures of me playing with the kit, and my local pro provided a replacement quote.

They also allowed me to go through my local pro, which was excellent for both of us. I got to be involved in the process from start to finish and also got some cracking deals, he made a nice wee profit.

My claim came from the Car being broken into...

My premium is around £4,50 a month.

My golf club has a blanket insurance for members, but it doesn't cover theft of equipment, only personal liability, accident damage, subscription refund if unable to play for 60 days, and hole-in-one in a competition

I dont have golf insurance yet but i am going to get it in the near future. It will be worth it for the peace of mind. I'm hoping the only thing i will ever have to claim is the hole in one drinks bill :D

you will be amazed at the replacement cost of your kit, Its unbelievable. I had everything stolen, couldnt believe how much I would have struggled to get myself back on the course without it. 3 gloves, a dozen pro v's and a Galvin green hat and your over £100 already!!!

Guys just check out your home insurance first.

I have a rather alarming amount of golf gear and as such I phoned Tesco Insurance who cover my home. I explained to them how much it was worth and they listed it. I expected an add on and was surprised to be told that it was covered under my home insurance, even while in my car.

I was not covered on the golf course however its unlikely someone is going to come up to me on a golf course at knife point and demand me clubs off me. I'd also fancy my chances with my trusty 9 iron over any knife!

Finally checks with the small print on my yearly subs proved that I had liability cover built into my subs. Good job really considering the houses up the right hand side of the first are 7 figures!!! Most courses also have insurance built into visitor and green fees anyway.

Alot of people will be paying seperate golf insurance for nowt!

Ive got cover because Im so wild off the tee I could kill someone.
No seriously all it needs is a bad slice and someone is hurt and your liable, I presonally wouldnt fell comfortable with blanket cover from my membership.

I need it for overseas cover, I go over to Canada for around 8 weeks of the year and the trusty Irons come with me. Peace of mind as I have seen the Glasgow airport baggage handlers in action!!!!
