Morning all,
4 of us are off to Dublin for 2 days in June. Any help with course recommendations please? The handicaps range from 13 to 26.

Cheers
Midnight ...

Just back from the K-club after 2 days golf and could be worth looking at. We got a deal at £109 PP for 2 rounds and a nights stay. A society played so handicaps from low single to a male with a 29 handicap because the people running the society took pity on him. Probably more in June but worth checking out. The 18th on the Smurfit is probably one of the best finishing holes I've played, Par 5 with an Island green.

I've played 2 Dublin courses, Corballis and Skerries, the former is very short but great fun, really tight track and interesting to play, Skerries is where my grandad plays and its grand, nothing special but decent. Corballis is not really like anywhere I've played before so if you have the time I'd recommend it

To be honest not to sure yet. Still deciding on if to pop into the travel lodge near the airport, then play a few courses or get a deal with golf travel mate.

Thanks for all the info so far

There are a number of great courses in the north Dublin coastal area, near the airport. Portmarnock, the adjacent Portmarnock Hotel Links, Royal Dublin and The Island. All are links. In my opinion, if you go to Ireland (or Scotland) play links. Up the coast a bit are Baltray (Co. Louth) which had held the Irish Open and Seapoint, another pair of fine links.

We played Castleknock a few years ago and that was ok for a hotel course. Situated just the other side of Phoenix Park it is only a 10 -15 minute taxi ride into the centre of Dublin.

If you staying near the Airport Ethan has it summed up nicely ..

Other choices would be Carton House in Maynooth or Druids Glen, 2 courses in both places both 40ish mins from the Airport ..

Malahide in north Dublin used to be a nice course.
Otherwise, to the south west you have:
Top courses - Druids Glenn, K Club (36 holes), Carton House (36 holes) and the PGA National (think it's Palmerston).
A really good course is Naas.
They're all I've played that are close to Dublin.

Not in Dublin but I've used clubstohire.com in Spain and found them fantastic.
Believe they're based on Dublin airport too.

Ive played St Margarets, Kilrush and Stackstown in Dublin all worth a go and decently priced as well, stayed in the Arlington Hotel which is right on the Liffy and 2 minutes walk to the Temple Bar
