Golf GTD 67 - passenger airbag warning light

Hi there,

Am new to this forum. Am a first time Golf owner and have just bought a GTD (67 plate). Just noticed that passenger airbag light is illuminated and can't find a switch to turn it back on again. Any advice out there????

I'd replace the acker macker valve first (needed on the 60k service), get your doofer re-pressurised and the thingymabob changed.:thup:

if its switched off the switch will be in the glove compartment, in ireland so no idea what yr a 67 plate is sorry ..

two other possible faults tho it could be a faulty airbag or the yellow connector under the seat , iftheres a yellow connector under seat cut out connectors and wire them straight thru .. Use proper heat shrink wire joiners

Reminds me of a 2nd hand BMW i bought once, had to take the dash out one day and realised 6 warning bulbs had been removed, inserted new ones and the dash lit up like an xmas tree! Warnings all over the place!!

You can’t turn it off, it’s illuminated either on or off which I find strange. Unless you removed fuse for it I’d assume.
