Golf Clubs Storage - Hotel

I'd name and shame them now on here and on Twitter and Facebook, you'd be surprised how soon many places change their mind when.

I'd also ask them to show where they list other sports equipment as an additional charge for taking into your room with you........ Would they charge you more to take a pair of trainers or a pool cue. Make sure you declare the box of dominoes in your bag. You might as well write them a blank cheque, after all, trainers, one sport, swim shorts another, golf clubs another, t-shirt another, outdoor footwear maybe hiking surcharge. What a Joke I want to know who they are to make sure no one I know or myself go there, I will also make sure every one I know comment on facebook or twitter to the detriment of them

Even things like #nottighamshirehotels #ripoff =hotelname will all get responses. Then let them know they should check their social media, they usually sort you out, if you promise to give them a compliment for sorting you out in good faith. You might even get more than you paid for.

But def use #quotes @twitterusernames

Forget any sarky stuff suggested but check the t&c's for certain. Just ring them back to say that you have never heard of anyone being charged to have golf clubs with them in their room and you want clarification about precisely what the charge is for. If they say it's for insurance, ask them who for? If they say it's anything to do with "protecting" you or your clubs, tell them you dont want it, if they say it's to protect them, tell them they should insured already.

And given you've already booked rooms, I expect you're not likely to want to cancel and find elsewhere at this stage - don't do much more now. Argue the toss when you get there (even if it is in the t&c's - 8 people (politely) arguing at the reception is not a scene they'll want. And ask to see the manager. And remember, they don't know you've not been on other golf trips.

Good luck
