But either way, I made this thread more for Book recommendations, I was recently looking at the William Hill book of the year winners(as I read the Robert Enke book and thought it was great) and it had a book called "A Good Walk Spoiled" which I looked at on Amazon, had great reviews to back up that win and then I was lead to "Dream On: One Hackers Challenge To Break Par in a Year", again looked good and has great feedback, ordered both anyhow.

I'm a big fan of Sports books, especially from a general fans perspective and deeper insight(don't really care for general biographies and books filled with basic info), but this is the first I've delved into Golf books. Anyone got any recommendations outside of these two?

Tales from q school is a really good book, same guy that wrote a good walk spoiled. I've herd good things about a book called golf in the kingdom but haven't got round to getting a copy. I've also read in search of tiger woods which was quite good too, bit difficult to get into but worth it.

Read playing through which was a bit of a disappointment for me, good book but I'd of liked more golf than personal story but oh well.

Cant think of any others I've read of the top of my head but hope this helps a bit.

Both of tom kites books are wort a read, nice jumper & bring me the head of Sergio. Hacked off I think is by tony Lawrence similar to dream on. Fairway to hell by Carl hiassen and finally my baby got the yips by richard Russell. That will get you going!

My brothers friend is Quinten Jardine and he wrote a novel about golf featuring his 'Rebus', Skinner. It is obviously about Whitekirk GC near North Berwick. His book Thursdays Legends is about a group of 40 to 50 year old 5 a side football players being slowly bumped off.
In reality Quinten and my brother were part of such a group who played every Thursday night at North Berwick sports centre. I think my brother gets bumped off in the second chapter.

Final Rounds by James Dodson and Joyce Wetherheads autobigraphy are both excellent.

John Daly's book,My Life In The Rough is a good read,as is Tales From Q School.Four Iron in the Soul by Lawrence Donegan is also entertaining me at the moment.
