I was going to buy the audio book "Golf is Not a Perfect Game" by Bob Rotella. Anyone one read this? or are there any corkers you could recommend ?
I spend lots of time on the road so may as well put it to good use.

"Golf is not a perfect game" is a good read.

I'm just re-reading this

I've recently read Golf is not a Game of Perfect and found it pretty good. Some it is a bit vague but I was generally impressed by how many practical ideas he suggests to improve the mental side of your game. Worth a go definitely.

I'm also reading the stack and tilt book that Gareth mentions. First attempts with their technique will be at the range this weekend. I'll let you know. Good read though and they have certianly thought and researched a great deal to come up with their swing theories.

Other books I've heard recommended are Tom Watson's short game book, I forget the name sorry. Dave Pelz's short game books also come highly recommended, although I think you have to really commit to his system and practice regime to get the full benefit. If you're looking for a bit of a project over winter, they could be worth a try.

Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf

Such a good book, all you really need imho

I'm a big Dr Bob fan and have all his books. A couple in audio format and he's easy to listen to for sure.

Also really like Harvey Penicks Little Red and Green Golf Book which are full of excellent anecdotes and coaching tips. A vey easy read and can pick it up at any time and read a few pages...

I got to page 99 in Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible. Loved the stats stuff but needed a short game lesson with my coach yesterday as had got too immersed in the technical stuff and lost feel/touch and confused myself totally

Tom watson's book is 'Getting Up And Down (How to save strokes from forty yards)' Straightforward, nicely illustrated advice, not confusingly technical. Got mine for about 50p from a used books stall at a village fair!

Any of the Rotella books are a good read although the same messages tend to get dressed up in different scenarios from title to title. The Tom Watson book is quite good too. Pelz's short game I found a bit dry to be honest and it wasn't quite what I'd hoped

Tom Watson has a new book 'The Ageless Swing' I thumbed through it in Waterstones the other day. Looked good.

I agree with Ben Hogans 'Five Lessons' Classic. A must to read.

Phil Miklrson's 'Secrets of the Short Game' Very good tips around the green.

One that is not on the Waterstones shelf but a great read and a refreshingly different view on learning golf:
'Nail It' By Joe Hagen of Hersham Golf School. It teaches a learning system called '3 Skills' which I would reccomend as a read to all golfers of what ever standard as well as teaching Pros.
