Golf Books

I could never trust a golf book that was based on the OLD BALL FLIGHT LAWS when they think that swing path controlled the initial direction of the ball flight.

The stack and tilt book is (and probably will be) my favourite simply because it explains how to hit a ball properly in such simple terms... it's not filled with pages of 'padding'.

I could well buy a book about the swing provided it was written 2010+, anything before has become defunkt in my mind and I'd never trust it.

I think its a little decieving to suggest that you tube is a reliable source for consistent results, you tube has a ocean of videos that contradicts each other and while their is some with minimul quality content, it cant replace the theory that books explore in depth.

I think you tube is pretty good but you have to seperate the wheat from the chaffe, some of the stuff on there is frankly SHOCKING. Some books are just as misleading... as is my local pro's methods of teaching :)

Funny ol' game ain't it?! :D

Perhaps you could enlighten us on your own methods rather than sit on the fence?

I would love to reveal my secrets Dafydd, however certain Pro's have asked me to keep schtum as they fear for their livelehoods....... :D

I'm afraid sarcasm comes with the territory on the forum, however it is lighthearted and only meant in jest.
Interesting link, especially as it relates to our own intrepid Mike Harris doing battle.

Keep posting and welcome to the forum.

Merry Xmas. :D
