Playing yesterday, my battery petered out half way up the last hole. Emailed the company I got it from, and have been virtually told to get stuffed as it's 10 days out of warranty!

I've asked them to reconsider as I also bought a charger with it and have charged it exactly as they say and they also say that it shouln't go wrong in that period - be interesting what they come back with

One thing for sure, the trolley makers dont make the batteries. Sounds like a dud cell.

I have a battery tester at work and plan to check it out tomorrow when its fully charged

12 months and 10 days Dave although I probably received it a couple of days after the receipt date as it was sent by courier

Fella, you've got 'em bang to rights!

The EU passed a law a few years ago stating that everything must have a two year guarantee.

They haven't got a leg to stand on!

Check this out: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1677034/Two-year-warranty-EU-law.html

I am pretty well up on the law as well Dave and have used the small claims court a few times. They advertise that they want a good reputation and then fob me off. I havn't had a reply to my follow up email but intend to tell them about this forum and that I will print their emails verbatim on here for all to see!

Thanks for the link

I had the same issue with my battery, it was a couple of months out of warranty and just gave up 15 holes into the round. I spoke to the company when I purchased the battery from and they said there is nothing they can do and I would need to order a new one.

After talking to the pro at my club about it he had the battery and charger tested and it turned out there was a number of dud cells in the battery. It turns out there was a batch of batteries last year that suffered the same fate. anyway the pro has replaced the battery (foc) and everything is now working fine!

Good to read that someone got proper help. I have done a deal with my trolley supplier which is on a newer thread and will not purchase again from the battery supplier
