I bought a golf battery last year from an online supplier - Golftrolleybatteries.co.uk and it finally refused to finish the 18th hole a couple of weeks ago

I contacted them by email and they replied that often the problem is the charger. I told them that I bought a charger with the battery from them. They said that as the battery was over 12 months old that I couldn't claim on the warranty - it was only 10 days over the year!

They later said that batteries don't usually fail that quickly and suggested that it is likely to be a connection problem with my trolley. I told them that my trolley was puchased new after buying the battery, and that I had subsequently tried a new battery on the trolley and it was fine.

Their web site claims that more customers buy their batteries because of their quality and after sales service. They also have a banner reading

Don't get stuck with a cheap, poor quality battery and have to replace it again every year !

I will leave you to come to your own conclusion as to my opinion !!

Should they read this complaint I do, of course, have all the emails on record!

Sounds like a company I'll avoid. Any future battery purchases I need to make will be via GoKart. Hopefully not too soon though.

Sound idea Bob

I did report in an earlier post that Gokart did me a 50% off battery as a gesture - the best company I have dealt with
