With the colder months not far away, could anyone advise the best value base layer clothing available as i wish to play through the winter but hate the cold.
Thanks

You cant beat under armour cold gear compression top. The thing is, if you dont work out you look like a seal wrapped in cling film

I have been looking for new Under Armour's but struggling to find a few colours apart from the core black, white and grey versions. MOst on sites like baselayer.co.uk have some but plenty of discontinued lines and only a few larger/smaller sizes. Tempted by the Sturbart or Dunlop versions from JD Sports

Under armour is good

I use the Adidas Climawarm base layer - fit very well but also have a couple of UA ones

You can get some really good deals on function 18 and golfbase

I've got two different grades of Helly Hansen, one is supposed to be for extremely low temperatures. Neither is as effective as a nondescript make I bought off the Internet a few years ago and can't find again. And the latter was a lot cheaper than the Helly Hanson, which I wouldn't recommend.

I got 2 for £15 Woodworm base layers from a Fore24 offer the other day - definite bargains to be had out there if you look.

I use Mountain Warehouse base layers. They always seem to be on sale and I paid about £5-£7 for mine. Work brilliantly. Get your normal size, I did and it fits well.

What do you think of the GG base layer, toying with getting one myself.

Had them for 2 full winters now and they are still like brand new. I play pretty much every weekend (bar snow etc.) during the winter.

Very comfy, very warm and top quality.
