Golf Ball Question??

Following a debate at the golf club yesterday someone brought up the 'How good would life be as a good touring pro' topic!

During which i was asked... when you see the players on the range before they tee off... they have a basket of brand spankers!

Im rather sure they dont use the £10 for 2 dozen maxfli balls i hit for a practise...

SO my questions are... Surely they use there sponsored brand of ball... same as they use on the course

And what happens to the balls once used?

Anyone one in the know??

The same, Titleist stamp theirs "PRACTICE".

Dont know about Srixon, TM, Bridgestone etc.

As faras im aware they all use the same balls on the range, which will be whatever brand is supplied by the organisers of the event. From what ive seen in the past, they are normally Prov's with PRACTICE stamped on them

At the open they have people to seperate the different brands of bal each day for practice. If you play pro v you will hit it on the range same with nike etc.

At the Scottish Seniors, the range balls were Srixon Z-Star X's and they had "RANGE" or some sort of marking on them.

I thought though that Titleist were the preferred supplier and that they use Pro V with practice on the side

Once they are used they are 'donated' to the junior ranks for their practice ranges.
