Hi, can anyone help me out here. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of the following brands. I am thinking about buying a new bag and was wondering if these two manufacturers are up to the quality of say TaylorMade and Callaway as I really like the bags. Especially the Forgan

Alternatively I'm open to suggestions for a similar spec trolley bag!

I have just purchased one of these....

Ignore the price. Cheapest I had seen one at "official retailers" was £79.00 but I got one from a guy off ebay for £55.00 plus postage and it arrived yesterday. Obviously haven't had a chance to use it yet, but have transferred all my clubs and clutter into it from my Mizuno bag (which cost twice as much) and everything fits in there a treat with bags of room to spare. I can't believe how many pockets it has, and as well as coming with the usual snap on rain hood, it also has a hidden cover in the bottom pocket that will cover the bag completely. It has a seperate putter pit (something which the Mizuno bag didn't have and cheesed me right off) an integrated umbrella well, and seems sturdily built for the money. I am well chuffed with it thus far, and can't believe I got it for £55.00!
Highly recommended.

Out of the two you have highlighted, I would go for the Forgan one if you decide to stick with your choices. The Prosimmon one looks a bit flimsy to me.

Cheers mate. That looks like just what I am after. On ebay already :o). I've hunted for an Ogio one but the cheapest I can get is about £210 imported from the USA.

I second Smiffy`s views on the Izzo transporter. It is a blinding bag that has every concievable feature and would cost you double if it had a "big brand" name.

It also seems very well made. I have only had mine a few weeks so cannot comment on durability, but it certainly feels like a quality item.

ok at the moment Mick. game a bit in and out unlke the swing which is a bit out to in but coming back.

You got your membership sorted out now? I seem to remember you were musing over where to join

I joined Sandhill mate but to be honest I wasn't impressed so when it expired earlier this year I didn't renew it! I was going to join Mid Yorkshire with my old man but he got made redundant so it didn't happen but he has just started a new job so I think it might be back on in the next month or so :D.

I paid £60 on the 'Make an Offer' function mate. Altho it was accepted straight away so perhaps they'd have accepted less

Can't help a great deal, but I bought a skymax cart bag from the golf shop in the Edinburgh Wool Mill for £40.....
It's made from quality canvas/fabric and is a gem of a bag, but totally NOT for carrying. I think it rates as highly as my Ping and Callaway carry bags.
I think you have to see one in the flesh to decide on quality. I personally like my new bag a lot....for some reason, despite being a gear snob, I like the fact it has no brand name....maybe this is because I have so many different makes of kit!!!!

I don't suppose you know if it'll fit in the boot of a Honda S2000 :D
Dunno....all the S2000 owners at mine never practice and hire lockers for the year.
It'll fit in a CTR though.... :)

I checked his feedback prior to making an offer and saw that quite a few people had managed to get one for £55.00 so went straight in with that. £60.00 isn't a bad price though, bearing in mind the retail is 99.
As I say, I'm well chuffed with mine. Going to use it for the first time tomorrow night, quick 18 after work.

I'll have to get another CTR then if it doesn't fit! My Mizuno bag fits quite snug in the boot then the trolley goes on the passenger seat. I think I need a more Golf friendly motor!

Let me know how you get on mate. How long did yours take to come? and I don't suppose you know which courier they shipped it with? Hoping mine comes tomorrow now :D

It took about a week to come but I got an email from the guy 3 or 4 days after I ordered it to say the original one he had sent out "got lost" with the delivery agents. The second one was sent out last Friday and arrived on Monday as promised.I don't honestly know who the delivery agents were, it was delivered to my works address and a colleague signed for it while I was busy with a customer.
I've decided not to play now until Friday, weather forecast looks a bit pants for tomorrow evening.
