At the risk of being called a luddite, I've just moved from a BBerry to an Iphone and was wondering if anyone can recommend any decent golf apps that they use? Not restricting it to GPS apps - just golf in general.

Thanks in advance!

Swingreader, MTRx, golfshot GPS (if you need a GPS if not there is a free version)

+1 for golfshot gps. The accompanying golfplan app is not too bad either as it uses the stats from golfshot gps to give you exercises that address the errors highlighted by your in-round play/stats.

Golfshot app having problems with iOS6, waiting for golfshot to sort this.

Also golfweather is good, both PGA and european tour apps, then you have the short game tips apps in conjunction with Golf monthly

If you are really into rules there is also the Decisions app or alternatively you can download and e-reader app and the ebook. Pricey though.

R&A Rules is an excellent App and so quick and easy to look things up on.

Not sure why anyone would want to get used to using Golfshot and the like when you can't use it in comps!

Everyone forgetting that Golf Monthly have a short games tips app?! its pretty good actually!

looking in my phone, i have:

GM Short game tips
PGA tour
Golfshot GPS
Swingreader
gpsdistance
Sky Sports news
European tour
Swingprofile

The iping putting app is really good, it's free but they charge you £25 for the cradle that holds your phone and attaches to you're putter shaft.

Or you can be tight like me and make you're own, buy a cheap iPhone case from eBay, the buy some 12mm pipe clips and glue it to the back of the phone case then it just clips to the putter shaft.
