Gokart hub replacement

I'm trying to replace a hub on my Gokart after dropping the trolley. Does anyone know how to remove the screw which holds the hub to the drive shaft? I think I need to lock the drive shaft because turning the screw just spins the gearbox and shaft

Not sure,but I think a call to Gokart would sortbyou out.

Hold the opposite wheel. It's just the diff spinning.

I already tried it. It feels like there's a differential between the drive shafts. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Mate of mine has one and swears by their servicing - give them a bell.

Give them a call. From past experience they may be able to give you a replacement while yours is being repaired

I phoned Gokart on Monday (I had hoped to use it last Sunday) and the trick is to keep the hub on the side that you're removing stationary. This was difficult as the hub was completely smashed, leaving only a "collar" level with the body of the trolley, which was completely smooth. Judicious use of a red hot soldering iron tip, two screwdrivers and foul language sorted the job though.
