GoKart come up trumps again

In the past I had a Motocaddy Lithium that I sold to my dad, unfortunately it had a couple of problems as soon as he started using it.

The pro at Ilfracombe[not where I bought it] is a Motocaddy dealer and got it fixed free of charge twice[superb after service].

I bought a Stewart R1 push trolley as a replacement and it was superb for a while then one day it started to go sideways instead of forward, apart from the hassle and me having to send them a couple of emails I received a new one free of charge
which I sold as I didn't want the same happening again[good service].

I have now returned to a Motocaddy Lithium as its a superb piece of kit.

I believe most manufacturers are superb in the after care department, but I certainly wouldn't be purchasing a product where there are lots of faults and loads of posters posting about problems.

I do believe all trolleys can have problems but you do get good ones that never break.

I also understand Go-Kart give a trolley to HFH every year and fair play to that, and I also understand people have played with Sandy[the owner]but I hope this is not effecting peoples views.:)

Good post

May I be as bold to ask, how does a push trolley go sideways  I understand that axles can affect an electric trolley and they start to wander but I can't see how a push trolley can!

Of course you can ask, wether I can explain is another matter.

The right arm that went into the wheel connection was two pronged that was glued together.

During my round the arms separated slightly due to the glue failing[it was a fault that effected lots of trolleys I was told].

During the round the trolley was pulling so hard to the left it was going virtually sideways but we did not know this so we kept on changing the wheels over.

It was only when I got it home I noticed the problem.

It was a shame as the trolley looked good and was so sturdy but I wasn't willing to take a risk with a second trolley.

For something made of plastic it's as robust as any other trolly I've owned and there has never been as issue other than the battery failing. I've known that happen to many various brands and so not a problem unique to GK. There is clearly a fixed divide between happy customers, who either haven't needed GK help or those that have and been impressed, and those that see the need for their customer service to be so good to deal with all the problems as a sign of design and build flaws.

Thats fine, and it's good to have differences. I dislike the fact that some on both sides seem so entrenched they can't always see the other side. I happen to think it's a fantastic product. I do have a motocaddy (wedding anniversary present) but still use my GK in the winter as it has the hedgehog wheels on and I'm too tight to pay the significant amount MC want for their version so mine still gets used.

that's anecdotal.
...and so it continues.

Like Mr Fish I am also out as you are clearly not listening nor possibly understanding the discussion. For the avoidance of doubt it is not an attack on Gokart, just an observation that appears to have been morphed into something else by the defensive attitudes on here.

How very dare you,

I've been listening very attentively, and completely understand the discussion. I just do not agree with either of your views.

I will add, before I also call out on this, that things sometimes break and get replaced with excellent service, as with most manufacturers............But they do not fail or let you down, at the start, middle or end of round. That is a fact!

Spot on Chris.

The only time mine has broken, and not finished a round, is when MashleyR7 smashed a wheel to bits, not many makes would have survived that. Let's face it though, some people will always see the picture from the wrong side, we know they are wrong but so long as they are happy ....... !

Gosh this thread has gone out of control!

we have two trolleys in the house mine is a motorcaddy while my missus is gokart! Both work well and do a job without any issues (both nearly 12 months old)

i had had the choice to buy a GK but preferred the style of the the motorcaddy! However my other half preferred the style and peace of mind/recommend support of GK machine. The thought of the machine going faulty was not the issue for her it's what the company will do to put it right something that motorcaddy gas had bad press about but I have still bought one.

now if my motorcaddy did break Down and the aftercare was bobbins in would discourage me to buy their products again simple! But touched it wood it has been fine.

It's a fact that GK don't have any failures during a round of golf, wow, thats some statement. Maybe they should offer a money back guarantee based on that, would be great marketing. Pretty sure they won't though
