Going to the BMW PGA Championship next Friday

Few of our members are marshalling again. Think

I might put my name forward next year. Not sure how some have managed it or if it's on offers to members of local clubs who provide marshalls but some have been offered a free game at Wentworth next week as a thank you

Marshals usually get a free round on the east course in the weeks following the event

I'm going on Friday as well. Excited as been a couple of times before but didn't really play at the time.

Anyone know when the draw will be done?

Might be a stupid question but what shoes does one wear? I notice they have nets where you get can pros to take a look at your swing etc. for which surely you need some golf shoes, but I only have soft spiked one - surely that would be overkill?

I'm going on Saturday - first PGA Championship but also first time I'll ever have seen any pros play live - excited!

POPCORN!!

Here we go.....this should be fun :D

Whenever I have gone , I have worn my golf shoes, with cleats
But to be honest anything comfortable will do, you can easily walk 10 miles plus over the course of the day.

Enjoy

I'm thinking of taking a fold out chair tomorrow. From people's previous experiences do you think this is a good idea or will it prove a hindrance amongst the crowds?

I want to take a backpack but 12" sounds to me like the backpack would have to be absolutely tiny! 12" from top to bottom surely covers pretty much any backpack??

We normally take a standard size backpack, never had any issues

A standard size backpack is fine, to be honest the security is pretty relaxed when I've been so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
