GM short game tips app now live on the apple app store - FREE download

currently just showing on iphone not on ipads but should bee soon (there is a bespoke ipad version)

android already available and blackberry later this week

You could just update the ios software but you are right, it would be terrible to upgrade to a nicer looking more feature rich version
Or get hold of a Samsung Galaxy Android handset

Just a quick one, to find it on android i had to search " golf monthly short game tips".

The app is great, shame the vids cant be downloaded onto Ipod Touch then played without Wi-Fi connection.

Any way of a fix for that?

Not downloaded yet. But normally the paid for app will have no adverts. Whereas the free one will. May be wrong in this case but thats the norm.

Well downloaded it. Very memory hungry? Will only play part of the vid's then starts buffering. Then says this video can't be run. Will check again tomorrow, but looks like I may be dumping it. Good job its free!

afraid not - we stream the videos to keep the app download size to a mere 20mb - if there were all embeded it would be around the 200mb mark

thanks Alex, quite correct the new app has a red icon with Short Game Tips as the text (old Gary Smith icon was white with GM logo) and the new one is completely free - all 18 'lessons'

are you sure you have the new Short Game Tips app Dave - not the old Gary Smith one where vids were embeded and it was quite a big download. New app is It's only 20MB (easily downloadable over 3G) and videos stream instantly over 3G or wifi

if you still are having any issues then the old favourite delete and redownload should do the trick
