Personally I think the whole GM package (magazine and forum) is the best out there. Not only do they pay attention to what forum members want/are talking about but they play an active part in ensuring everyday readers are able to participate (gear reviews etc).

I actually feel part of a bigger "GM family" and always look forward to receiving it each month (I turn straight to the forum section to see who has been highlighted for a worthy mention)

Not meant to be sycophantic just a genuine afffirmation of the good job being done

Just look at what the guys at GM are doing with us (the mere mortals). They are getting us involved in trying new gear, teaching, printing sections of the forum and bringing the ordinary golfer to the fore. When I found the forum almost a year ago I never even imagined it would lead to meeting guys for a game and being asked to try a club out. I am sure that once the features on Equipment testing, Playing lessons and Challenging GM are printed it will bring more folks onto or into our cyber clubhouse.

And the knock on effect is that advertising on the website and forum will generate more revenue for the GM guys to hopefully get the GM FUGS day penciled in for this year.

Took out a subscription last autumn and am really pleased I did. It was immediately apparent why it is approaching its 100th year of publication (an astonishing fact).

Easily the best one out there and the website is great too. Certainly better than those ridiculous 'World Cup' playoff videos on TG's site.

I'd feel much happier, of course, if I ever won any of the competitions or got any gear to test...

Gor bless ya GM - and all who read yer.

I read GM like I read the bible.
Religiously.

I also buy Golf World and some of the specials round about the Majors and the Ryder Cup, but GM is my magazine.

Golf Punk is not my magazine.

Atticus,

If you buy GolfPunk do the newsagants not give you a free pair of white trousers with matching white plastic belt and a buckle the size of a coffee table.

Like you, I feel far too old and wise to buy that nonsense. If I did I'd have to hide it inside my issue of Razzle to avoid any embarrassment.

Dropped hints for a subscription at chrismas but no luck so have to go out and buy it every month. Will look to subscribing in the new year.

Been subscribing for a year, GM is overall the best of the golf mags, sometimes buy golf world as well off the newsagent shelf but only if the cover appeals or there's a freebie - how shallow!
If Sergio's on the front I don't want it!

I am a subscriber and fell I would be a fool not to be, the magazine is brilliant and offers unrivalled coverage of everything golf! I do however occasionally purchase todays golfer which although decent, is a bit too relaxed and uninformative for my liking.

I was buying it off and on but a box of Pulsar Softspikes I got for Christmas has an offer of three issues free if you give IPC your details then they leave it up to you to cancel before they sign you up for a subscription.
