GM forum - general notice. Update

Hi all

I hope (weather permitting) you all get to tee it up at some point over Easter

A short update to my post of the other day... which I have now locked off as didn’t think any other comments would really add anything

The 'mod holiday' period has now started and ends on Tuesday. Forum rules still apply but our hard working moderators will be eating Easter eggs not dealing with issues arising. However I'll keeping a eye on things over the next few days and will be looking at and acting on any reported posts so please do flag anything you think needs my attention.

I introduced the 'mod holiday' not because I think the appointed moderators are doing a poor job but rather because I want these four days as a period where the forum 'resets' itself and hopefully everyone realises they can behave and that by and large a forum about golf should be able to self police itself.

There may be those who see the four days as an opportunity to have a free hit and cause a bit of bother. Knock yourselves out; my only advice is to also spend a bit of research time looking at other forums you might want to join from Tuesday.

im pretty sure folk understand your 'threats' mike. im also pretty sure that those who do take the opportunity to abuse this weekend are folk that the rest of the forum dont need. i wonder how many folk on the forum buy the Golf Monthly magazine
