Get in The Hole!/Mashed Potato!

I don't mind "get in the hole" on shots that are actually arcing towards a pin and might have a genuine chance of going in but for a tee shot on a par five, it's a bit much.

What's the problem?

I think the problem is that if left to be 'the norm' idiots will shout earlier and earlier until the point it starts happening during the swing which can put players off.

That's the problem.

There is also the issue when people shout it when others are playing a nearby hole. Can't prevent the cheers when someone has done something worth of a cheer but when every shot from the tee is accompanied with a "MASHED POTATOE" regardless of it being actually any good that's a totally different thing. Saw it happen a few times at the Irish Open at Portrush and a few needed to check thier swings.
