The thing about Mizuno is this... most of the amature golfers playing them shouldnt be. Mizuno has to market the "feel" of their club, they cant market better scores with them. On the off chance you hit them well...alll the time, then you deserve to play them. However...seriously if you hit them well....alll the time...would you be doing what you do for a living? I think not. Mizuno MP line is meant for really, really good golfers. Really good golfers is a 3 or better. Always has and always will be. If your handicap s any higher, ask yourself an easy question.....How do you compare yourself to other golfers.....feel or score?

Play what works best for you, all the feel in the world is great, but at the end of the day....its how many shots it took. forgiveness will help most post a better score.

As the title says, please discuss.

Does he have a point ? or is he talking a load of.... ?

Taken from another forum out there, spelling mistakes and all ;)

0ooo000oo this is going to be hot, ill take a wack at it after dinner.

Perhaps....perhaps not.

I went from GI Ping Zing2 irons & 12 HC to unforgiving AP2's, and then my current CB's, but now I'm down to 9.8.

I feel that I get a lot from them, although they arent as 'long as my Zing2's were.

Each individual can only decide if they are getting the best from their Clubs, surely ?

I play Tm's and I have never even played Mizzys but even I know he is talking utter s...........

:)

Hi

I used to have MP52 irons playing off a handicap of 9. Frankly i wasnt good enough and i ended up flogging em to go back to Ping shovels.

I have a friend who has MP52 irons and plays off 17. He loves them and wouldnt change.

Horses for courses?

Here's my Mizzy story, I had a set of Titleist DCI's and played a round with my Brother in Law who played Mizuno Mx 23's, on a par 3 I hit a 8 iron to a par 3 and then tried his 9 iron and went about 10 yards further than my 8. Bought some mx 23's within a week and had 2 years winning several comps, foolishly swapped to ping raptures for a year, had them fitted etc and had one decent iron striking round in about a year and half winning nothing, saw the new mx 200's and made the change again, won a comp using them for the very time and haven't looked back, i'm a 12 handicapper and can testify 'nothing feels like a mizuno' in my book

You can be a good ball striker and therefore get the most out of the MP's but have a poor short game or tee game and therefore not be near a 3 handicap.

Having owned and played MP30's, MP33's and MP32's I can say in my case the 7 to PW were fantastic but mid to long iron play was weak, I wasn't good enough to hit them properly but I know long to mid iron play is the weakest part of my game.

If you like them and feel you can hit them go for it, golf is meant to make us happy after all!

I've never played anything but mizuno so cant really compare to anything else.I'd be surprised if any other bat felt as good and as comfortable as my 800 pro's.The trajectory, feel, confidence & look they give me are terrific.I love my bats and at the minute, they love me!

I hope the JPX 3 wood & driver are just as good, I'll find out on the 27th!

AP2's unforgiving? thats a bit harsh, I find them grand, off centre hits still go but you will lose a few yards. Blades though, they are not.
