GC2 or Trackman ?

Am I right in thinking that TrackMan just follows the ball?
Does it give strike location, swing path and all that stuff..?
GC2 + HMT or GCQuad does give you that.

Trackman sits behind you so it won't pick up strike location. I think it's GCQuad that will give you that.

GC2 is definitely the more accurate of the 2 because it gives you closed data.

However, trackman is hardly going to give you a bad fitting!

the real important piece of the fitting puzzle is the PGA Pro/specialist fitter that's working with whatever LM - it's the knowledge of how to interpret the #'s both to the golf swing & how that plays into the club specs required that would be optimum for that particular individuals swing

Very true. Seen some really awful fitters and any LM wasn't going to change the lack of knowledge. I think I'd prefer GC2/4 given the choice

Interesting, thanks all, must admit, no idea why really, thought trackman would be most people's choice.

Because Trackman is more active in its marketing.

I can see the value for pros using trackman over GC2 as it enables them to understand the environment they are In better
