Gas, electric or induction hob?

We have a Neff Induction hob and it is excellent.
It is in a fitted kitchen and not sure if it is on a 13amp plug or a 32 amp circuit.
I will have to check but not tonight, I am cream crackered.

If it was not for the cleaning I would say gas.

Personally ceramic is OK, we have it now but its slow and not as good as induction from what I have heard.

If given the choice it would be induction, depsite the costs it better in the long run.

You cannot buy time unless you buy convenience, money saved in the short term can cost valuable time in the long run. Personally I value time above money so am happy to say goodbye to one to get the other.

My friend went the induction route when he moved away from the 'smoke'... Staying with gas would've meant the additional hassle of bottled gas... Having tried the hob, when visiting, I thought it perfectly OK for 'everyday' cooking but think I'd miss having a Wok burner... Something about having the flames coming right up the side of the pan making it real mans cooking.. Don't think you'd get quite the same effect with induction...

I do the majority of the cooking in the house and it's gas all the way, I wouldn't entertain electric or induction no mater how easy they are to clean.

Gas hobs are such a pain in the rear to clean and look so old fashioned in a modern kitchen.

Ok so may be you can save a minute or two with gas or induction but you'll waste a lot more cleaning.

In the previous house used to have gas hob and loved it, pain to clean but easy to use. Since moved.

I finished the kitchen in the new house last year, and we used to have an electric hob here which was pretty rubbish.

Replaced this with a new induction hob(as we aren't on mains gas), wow how much better are the new inductions hobs, brilliant. We have a fast heat one, but almost never use it tbh.

Be careful with the Watts rating of most induction hobs as they are high wattage and if you have say a double/1.5 electric oven, you may need to run a new circuit for one of them, certainly I know I had to for the oven/hob setup when I worked out the ratings for both(which wasn't a problem as I had the ceilings down anyway)

Hope that helps.

Thanks. One of me mates is a sparky and will be doing all the wiring so hopefully he will get it right.
