2 months ago I rang up to have my car serviced, its on extended warranty so has to be done at a main dealer. The girl offered a deal of 2 services and 2 MOTs for £199, seems to good to miss so I took her up on the offer. She then says you have to wait 60 days before you can have have the first service. No problem except that the MOT is due on Christmas day (no idea why).

Anyway I booked the car in for yesterday, the first day I could have under the offer, and duly dropped it off yesterday morning. yesterday afternoon I had a phone call to say the service was done but the couldnt do the MOT until this morning, OK says I, it was annoying but not a problem. Now they have rung me again to say they cant do the MOT today because the machine as broken down, but that it would be fixed or replaced on monday and then they would do the MOT then.

But what happens if there is a problem on Monday as the MOT runs out on tuesday! Fortunately I have been given a courtesy car but say the Mot fails on monday, will they then want the courtesy car back, leaving me carless?

Its so annoying.
 
If they can't do the MOT on the MOnday, get them to sub-contract it.

They have promised a service, never mind the machine being broke, they could go to 50 other garages who could do the emissions test etc, so no excuse.
 
A bit of Karma today, having established that the garage was open until 5.30, I went off to Frodsham for a round with LB and Birchy, just after I left to drive back to Manchester, I had a phone call from the garage, turns out they had been told they could closed up when all the work was done and were just waiting for me to collect my car.
When I arrived at 4.30, they were all sitting there in their coats waiting to leave. Ha!
