Funny old game innit?

Club champs at the weekend and far too embarrassed to talk about how it went. I may have posted drunk one night between then and now but I don't think I did. Anyway ... I had a 10 on my fourth hole of 36 and it didn't get much better.

After telling everyone who would listen (and many who wouldn't) that I was packing it in for a few weeks and returning in September for a team match I got a phone call tonight asking if I wanted a few holes. Was already going up to clear out my locker as it's not needed now I've got a motor down here so said I'd see how I felt when I got home.

Decided to give it a go and properly cheered myself up. Played about 12 holes in a very peculiar order as we were in buggys and trying not to get too close to people in potential matches etc. Ended up with a couple of birdies and some really nice shots. A laugh with me mates and finished with our £2 halved on the 18 with a putt in total darkness (by them )

Looking forward to a weekend back at home now but eager to get playing again as soon as I'm back down.

I was going to pack it all in around 12 weeks ago but one day it just clicked and im starting to enjoy it again

I had a round last Sunday and for the first time in a while the driver was going really well. Only problem was the irons started to work their tickets and I ended up playing the last 9 holes with my driver, hybrid, 9iron and putter. I just couldn't be chewed

I'm off to the range tomorrow for a heavy practice session to see if I can get things going again
