Fuming with Direct Golf

I'm not really fully with the OP on this, as it would seem is true for most responders.

You order from DG, they dispatch via DPD, a company established in 1970 with over 2,000 delivery vehicles according to their website. And you are ranting because between them they conspired to deliver while you were out.

If this item was so vital to your weekend of golf (and do you really need this new club that badly) then perhaps you should have got it delivered to your work or paid for overnight and signed delivery.

DG are to blame because it's them that you purchase from. It's them that are ultimately responsible for giving me the goods and yet they use a service that isn't up to scratch. Ultimately by using these small courier firms they are trying to save money. Despite the negative press that Royal Mail get, the service that they actually provide with the tens of millions of packages they deliver every day far exceeds that of most countries mail systems.

DG, sent the goods. You were not there was take delivery, DPD left a card with instructions on what to do for re arranged delivery, which you ignored.

What exactly what wrong?

Btw. If royal mail leave a card they state wait 24 hours before attempting to get it from the sorting office .... Just stating that in case you didn't read the card

Also, if your doorbell goes, you open the door and there is a guy there with a box and a PDA thing, it's probably a courier. If he is wearing brown, he is probably ups, orange then he is TNT and so on...

If you order a product to be delivered to you house and your not in on the day in question to receive the product its your own fault FACT no other way of putting it really.

The answer's simple. If delivery is for a work day and you know you'll be out, ask a friendly neighbour to receive it and then leave a large note on your front door thus "DPD please deliver parcel at number *"

Would have done that but the clever people at Direct Golf have said they won't accept another address other than billing address unless you;ve had at leaast one order.

However, DG replied to my complaint today and are sending to work on Monday. Problem solved, if a little late!
